Sunday lunch should never feel hurried.
A table worth settling into, something good to drink, and an afternoon with very little planned afterwards.
For the first edition of The Sunday Table, we return to Flora Danica — a Scandinavian address hidden behind the Champs-Élysées, and one of our favourite places for a long Sunday in Paris.
THE ADDRESS
142 Avenue des Champs-Élysées · Paris 8
Scandinavia, quietly tucked away in Paris.
Set within the Maison du Danemark, Flora Danica is a Danish brasserie with a surprisingly calm atmosphere for its Champs-Élysées address. Inside, the mood is distinctly Scandinavian; beyond it, a secluded garden terrace offers an escape from the avenue outside.
FOR SUNDAY
Come for brunch and allow it to become lunch.
Flora Danica currently serves Sunday brunch from 11:30 to 14:30, built around its Scandinavian identity and served in the restaurant and garden setting.
CLÉE CASA | Ask for the garden when Paris gives you the weather for it.
DIMANCHE
Perhaps the best Paris Sundays are the ones with very little ambition.
A late table, another coffee, and nowhere you particularly need to be.
